Paul Muzzo

Hello, my name is Paul Muzzo and I will be working as the GBYFC intern for the year. For the next ten months I hope to see you during breakfast club, drop in, illuminate, and all the other programs of GBYFC! I pray that I bring something new to the organization, but also maintain consistency within the currently running programs. I am very excited for the coming year, and I hope to create many new and lasting relationships while I’m here.

A comforting thought to the start of my new year is that I am not altogether foreign to the area. Two years ago, I was part of a Summerserve team that ended up in Ballyclare. At the time the centre was far from becoming “Unit One” and all of the programs were located in the local churches or in community centres. This experience, however, affected me so much that I knew my calling was to go into the mission field. I hope that the experience I gain this year will allow me to become closer to God and the job he has called me to do.

I am from a town outside Philadelphia called West Chester, Pennsylvania. I grew up in the Presbyterian Church, but have spent the last 10 years at West Chester United Methodist Church. My dad works as the Minister of Worship and Music at the church and I have always been quite active in the youth group. My mom works at York College of Pennsylvania as Director of Choral and Vocal Studies, and my sister is graduating from Eastern University in December with a degree in Sociology. During the years of 2005-2006 she was in Lisburn for y1 and that had a huge impact on me in terms of doing Summerserve. We are quite a close family and no doubt you will see them around when they are here to visit in the spring.
